Folkd is a free social blog network. 

We’ve been around since 2006.

We’ve be lucky to have millions of users sign up over the years and you can join them for free. 

That said, we do have a few simple content guidelines on the site. 

These guidelines are based on what Google requires so that they'll show us love in the search results (which means you get max traffic to your blogs) AND what our ad network requires to pay us (so we can keep this site free). If you don't like these guidelines, we're sorry but please go yell at Google and not our team. 

All account information and blog posts MUST meeting the following criteria:

• Must not violate Google’s ad network acceptable content policy. (Click and go read it!)
• Must obey Google’s helpful content policy. (Click and go read this one too!)
• Must not be garbage, spammy, inappropriate, illegal, or bullshit. You know what we mean. 
• Must be content that you own or have the right to publish.

Violating the short list above will get you banned immediately and without warning. We're a small team and we don’t have time to coddle the small number of bad users because we want to focus on all you good users.

We also RECOMMEND but don’t require that your blog posts meet some or all of the following criteria so that Google loves your posts and ranks them highly and sends you the maximum traffic.

Combining these recommendations with with Folkd’s super powerful domain authority of 79 of 100 (according to Ahrefs) is the secret (shhh...don't tell anyone else) for getting organic traffic and building your brand. To win at SEO with your Folkd blog, your posts:

• Ideally should be high-quality content not published anywhere else on the Internet.
• Ideally should have a good keyword-rich title of 40-60 characters in length.
• Ideally should be 500+ words long and ideally 1,000-3,000+ words in length.
• Ideally should formatted for easy online reading (aka skimming) using headings, white space and lists.
• Ideally should have 1+ relevant image, photo or Youtube video (more images is better, unique images are better, inappropriate images will obviously get you immediately banned).
