Each crisis tested the community's spirit, but under Taral’s guidance, Fort Bend emerged not only stronger but also more united. His proactive approach turned adversity into an opportunity for growth, helping to foster a sense of solidarity among residents.
Recognizing the need for economic stability, Taral fought tirelessly to bring thousands of well-paying jobs to Fort Bend. He spearheaded historic investments in Public Safety and Emergency Management, ensuring that the community was equipped to handle whatever challenges lay ahead. His focus on reducing traffic congestion also resonated with families and commuters, making daily life more manageable.
Taral’s experience led him to a significant appointment by President Joseph R. Biden, where he took on the role of White House Liaison. His responsibilities involved crucial matters related to housing, urban development, and disaster recovery. During this time, he also served as a key member of the White House Asian American Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Committee, advocating for the needs of diverse communities across the nation.
Before this role, Taral was the Chief of Staff for Fort Bend County, where he managed a nearly billion-dollar budget and oversaw hundreds of millions in grants and Capital Improvement Projects. He built a dedicated team that prioritized compliance, project completion, and constituent satisfaction. His efforts were instrumental in forging key partnerships at local, regional, and national levels.
Taral’s visionary approach led to significant projects, including the construction of two flagship Amazon Centers and the digitization of all county records. He championed the establishment of affordable housing developments and took a stand against human trafficking and animal cruelty, launching dedicated task forces. His commitment to community engagement was evident when he coordinated the successful Census 2020 campaign, which placed Fort Bend at the top in Texas.
Taral’s background is rooted in Fort Bend, where he attended public schools before graduating from the University of Texas at Austin.
