If the HP printer prints out an alignment page every time you turn the printer on or start a print job, then you probably are not through with the cartridge alignment process. Follow the steps given below to fix the alignment problem.
Step 1: Align the Cartridges
Make sure that you are done with the alignment process. Load plain white paper into the input tray so that the paper width guides are set properly. Print an alignment page from your printer's control panel or software. For printers, open the "Tools" or "Printer Maintenance" menu and follow the prompts to "Align cartridges" or "Print an Alignment Page." On Windows, you install the HP Printer Assistant, and on macOS, you install the HP Utility. Now, after you are done setting up complete configuration, scan the alignment page if your printer has a scanner. Restart your printer or send printing again, then check if the issue still remains.
2. Check How You Installed Your Cartridges
Raise the access door of the ink cartridge and make it remain on, to enable the carriage to stop. Remove the cartridges without necessarily having to touch the copper-colored contacts. Examine the carriage and the track for debris. And also, the protective tape should not be there. Install the cartridges in the proper way again and close the access door. Print the alignment page and scan it if required, according to the prompts, and then restart the printer or print a job to see the result.
Manually inspect the alignment page on the clean paper. Detect types of defects such as color or line skips. If you see errors, defects lead to a failure in its alignment in that case. Move to the next step for cleaning the printheads :
Step 4: Cleaning the Printheads
Do not hesitate to rinse the printheads as needed with the control panel of the printer or Smart App from HP. Check the printout. If defects remain, move on to taking a step to replace the printhead. If the printout is nice and clear, have another alignment page and work through the instructions.
Faulty cartridges can lead to misalignment. The user should get new cartridges and replace all of them without any protective tape of the contacts. Then close the ink access door and do the alignment as described above.
Step 6: Rest the Printer
The user can reset the printer by switching it off from the power supply and by switching it for after 60 seconds. This clears most of the errors.
Step 7: Service the Printer
None of the above works? It is time to service your printer. Reach an HP customer support representative and inquire about finding a service center near you. You can also look through your warranty to learn more about the repair costs.
At this juncture, with these steps, you now can troubleshoot and resolve issues dealing with your HP printer alignment page. 1844-539-9831
