The head of Marvel revealed the future of "Iron Man"
President of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige commented on the future of Iron Man as portrayed by Robert Downey Jr. In short, the studio "never planned to undo the character's death."
"We intend to preserve that moment and not revisit it. The entire team has worked hard on this for many years, and we never considered magically undoing that scene," the producer stated.
Earlier, Joe Russo, one of the directors of "Avengers: Endgame," mentioned that Downey Jr. had to be persuaded to do some minor reshoots to add the scene where Tony Stark says, "I am Iron Man," at the end of the battle with Thanos.
However, Feige's fans are not entirely convinced. The internet is buzzing with rumors that the character may appear in some capacity in the upcoming "Avengers: Secret Wars," possibly as a cameo. However, it remains unclear whether this will be Robert Downey Jr. or if the creators will opt for a replacement actor, using the concept of the multiverse to explain it.
