In a conversation following a meeting with Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar shared significant economic developments, stating that inflation has dropped from 30 per cent to 9.6 per cent over the past eight months.

He expressed optimism about further reductions in inflation in the coming days.

“The inflation rate has decreased significantly, and we expect it to continue falling,” Dar remarked, projecting a positive economic outlook.

Commenting on his frequent meetings with JUI-F leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Dar confirmed their regular interaction, noting, “I meet with Maulana Fazlur Rehman whenever necessary. In fact, we meet almost daily.”

When asked about the proposed amendments under discussion, Dar referred the question to the Law Minister, stating that he himself had not yet reviewed the draft. “Please consult the Law Minister regarding the amendments. I haven’t seen the draft either,” he clarified.

Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar also spoke on the matter, mentioning that the government’s required numbers are already in place. He added, “Once the committee grants permission, we will share all the details.”

When a journalist inquired about the number of proposed amendments, Tarar responded vaguely, encouraging them to form their own assessment on the matter.
