Differences between Polyethylene Pipes and PVC Pipes
Although both pipes are made from similar raw materials and fall under the same category in chemistry, they have significant differences in their applications, structure, and even appearance.
Polyethylene pipes are black and thicker compared to PVC pipes. Polyethylene pipes are flexible, while PVC pipes have a brittle structure.
Additionally, these two types of pipes have significant differences in their functionality.
Polyethylene pipes are used in the gas industry for gas transmission lines, sewage transmission (corrugated pipes), drinking water and agricultural water transmission lines, and pressure irrigation systems.
However, PVC pipes (Polyka) are mostly used in buildings and internal installations, electrical transmission lines, and underground installations.
