The Significance of Chaniya Choli In Navratri
Navratri is a nine nights celebration in devotion to Goddess Durga, this festival is also celebrated as Durga puja in the eastern parts of India. However, in the western parts of the country, especially in Gujarat and Rajasthan, they celebrate it with Garba and Dandiya dances. And for this they prefer to wear lightweight and flowy chaniya cholis. The wide flare of chaniya depicts the grace and beauty of Goddess Durga. The dupatta is modest, whereas the choli comes with some exquisitely and heavily embellished designs which are intricate and colourful. All other Indian designer dresses fail in front of this outfit.
