Winding the watch

I don't know how old children are to wear watches today, but maybe there are so many things that they use to keep time these days, and watches are no longer a necessary timekeeping tool. I only know that when I put on my watch, it was after I joined the work, I didn't have a watch when I went to school when I was young, I went out in the morning under the reminder of my parents, and when I arrived at school, I naturally obeyed the order of the bell to and from school, but when I played after school, I often forgot the hour. I remember one time, my family asked to go back at five o'clock to open the door of the coal stove, because they wanted to go out to play "officers and soldiers catch robbers" with their friends, and they had to remember the time to go back to open the door of the stove, so they tied the alarm clock at home to a rope, hung it around their necks and stuffed it in their clothes, and ran out. Who knew that it was the turn of the "robbers", who had just hidden in the bushes, and suddenly the bell rang loudly, and the target was exposed at once, and the "robbers" were caught, and they were really depressed After participating in the work, they had a watch. Mechanical clocks generally have a characteristic, that is, the strings of the clockwork, must be in place, otherwise it will stop halfway and do not go, for various reasons, forgetting to wind the watch is commonplace, when you need to see the time, but find that because of your own negligence, the result of the time frozen. So I set a rule for myself, the first thing I do when I get up every morning is to wind my watch; The second thing is to time the fine imitation watch. Only when these things are done well, will you feel at ease and steady in the day. Over time, he developed a habitual movement, sleepy-eyed, touched the watch at the head of the bed, pulled out the handle of the watch from the right edge of the watch, pinched it with his fingers, and wound the watch again and again......

Later, there were automatic watches, and due to the addition of a self-winding mechanism, when the watch was worn, it could be automatically wound with the help of people's arm movements in daily life. However, due to the nature of the work and the habit of removing the watch when doing physical work, I always feel that the mainspring of the automatic watch is never tightened, so I still do the first and second things as usual every day, but when I wind the watch winding, I look at the word "AUTOMATIC" marked on the watch, and I feel very funny. It wasn't until I had an electronic watch that the edge of the watch didn't even have a handle, and there were only a few buttons for time setting, which made the homework that must be done every day become a moon in the water, a flower in the mirror, no matter how the style and function of the watch changed, I still insisted on choosing a mechanical watch to wear. I don't know if it's a habit that has been formed over the years, or if you worry that time will freeze, or if you like to indulge in the slight "rustle" sound when winding your watch, in short, whether the handle of the watch is twisted or not, whether the watch winding is tightened or not, this is a thing that must be done every day. It seems that only after winding the watch every day will today's time be in your own hands......
