As of October 8, 2024, there are 2,900 poultry farms in Tamil Nadu, reflecting a 6.34% increase from 2023. Among these, 2,819 farms (97.21%) are single-owner operations, while 81 farms (2.79%) are part of larger brands. The top three cities with the highest number of poultry farms are Coimbatore with 114, Namakkal with 72, and Pollachi with 66. The average age of poultry farms in Tamil Nadu is 3 years and 4 months.
Poultry farms are also developing a digital presence on various platforms: 36 have LinkedIn profiles, 59 maintain Facebook pages, 12 are active on Instagram, 37 use X (formerly Twitter), 1 is on TikTok, and 54 have YouTube channels. Additionally, 336 poultry farms have their own websites, while the remaining 2,564 do not.
