Google Getting Fat on Cash or Just Plain Lazy?

Is Google Bloated or Just Plain Lazy? How the Search Giant Left Webmasters Alone with Their Problems

In the past 5–6 months, site owners feel as if they’ve been left all alone in the world of indexing and ranking. Google, which always claimed to care about search quality and free access to information, has suddenly turned into a quiet saboteur, as if it can no longer afford to care about webmasters.

Refusal to Index: Google Now Works at Its Own Whims

We’re increasingly seeing that sites, including high-trust resources, simply aren’t being indexed — neither manually nor automatically. Requests for indexing no longer guarantee pages will make it into search results, and some site owners spend weeks “knocking” on Google’s bot door to finally have their content noticed. Support, as usual, is limited to automatic replies, with no real solutions in sight.

Search Console — More Like a Museum than a Tool

Google Search Console, once an essential tool for webmasters, has become an unpredictable headache over the past six months. Outdated data, constant glitches, and an inability to correctly view or analyze the sitemap — the list goes on. Initially, many thought these were temporary setbacks, but it’s now clear: Google seems to have forgotten about Search Console, drawn away by the race for innovations like Gemini and the development of its AI projects.

Is Gemini More Important than Search?

It seems that Google is disconnected from reality, trying to compete with other giants in the field of artificial intelligence. The Gemini project has become its main focus, casting indexing, sitemap processing, and support for content projects into the shadows. This isn’t mere oversight — it’s a loss of interest in its core product: search.

Time to Split the Market?

Users, who were once accustomed to Google’s quality, are now questioning whether it’s time for someone to bring real competition to this giant that seems to have forgotten why it was created. In the race for high tech, Google is losing sight of its primary responsibilities, forgetting that effective search is what made it popular and indispensable.

Sergey Brin, Time to Get Back to Work!

This article is directed not just at Google, but at its founders, especially Sergey Brin. Stop slacking, Sergey! Users have long been calling for stability, fixing of issues in Search Console, adequate indexing, and prompt response to requests. Inaction is not an answer — the entire ecosystem suffers. Ignored issues in the search console and disregarded users undermine trust in Google and threaten its position as the leader in search.

Sergey, get the company back to basics! We see that, fascinated with projects like Gemini, Google is forgetting its core audience. Bring back the quality of search services, or others will step in — competition in search is no longer a myth!

Completely agree! It really seems like Google has stopped paying attention to the issues with their own tools. The Search Console is a mess — indexing is hit or miss, indexing requests can take forever with no guarantee, and problems just keep piling up. And it’s not an isolated issue: the same goes for Blogger and other services that should be helping users, but instead only create frustration. Rather than improving their existing products and supporting webmasters, they’re chasing new projects like Gemini, leaving behind everything that made Google useful in the first place. It would be great to see genuine support and care for users from this company, not just a thirst for the latest tech.

Exactly, it’s like Google has completely sidelined users who rely on these tools! It's frustrating to watch them launch ambitious projects while the basics are neglected. Search Console’s indexing issues and the unreliability of services like Blogger aren’t just 'minor glitches.' They impact our work and our businesses, and Google’s non-responsiveness feels like a complete disregard for those who depend on these tools every day. We’re not asking for perfection, just consistent functionality and support. Maybe it’s time for Google to remember what made it indispensable to its users in the first place!
