After all: every dark cloud has a silver lining! And no, we are not talking about that unpronounceable Icelandic one moving its deadly cloud across Europe, but the potentially catastrophic ‘could explode at any moment,’ Mt Vesuvius responsible for the destruction of the Roman cities of Herculaneum and Pompeii in AD 79. Vesuvius is situated near the bay of Naples which, unlike that Icelandic one, is a rather pleasant temperature most of the year round and thus has an amply large population (3 million), unlike the Icelandic one. Yes three million people have chosen to live on and around the volcano.
