On the Memorial Day weekend, wounded and impaired American military veterans had been going to Lourdes, France, as part of the 55th International Military Pilgrimage.This event has been sponsored by the Archdiocese for the military services and Knights of Columbus, the pilgrimage is a time for healing, both spiritually as well as physically, in the sacred waters of the grotto as well as the neighboring atmosphere.
