Question by Sandy Brooke : Choosing a laptop: HP dm4x, hp 6360b, dell latititude e6320, dell vostro 3350, dell 14r... or maybe just mac? I am looking to purchase a laptop for university. I mostly one type papers and use internet... but I would like for the machine to be tough and strong. If I have many things open at the same time, I need my computer to not freeze up and to fully cope with a lot happening at once. What processor is recommended? Honestly, I don't want to spend over $ 800, but am looking for a good laptop. I heard some of the business models were great, but please let me know if it is worth losing the "student" discount. Thanks for all the imput! I forgot to mention... must have a GREAT battery life and I'd prefer if the battery doesn't stick out from the bottom of the laptop causing an incline. Best answer: Answer by michael n you just listed like all of the worst possible choices. never buy a dell or a mac if you have a budget, they are both horrible overpriced. stick
