Lionel Messi extended his record for the most trophies won by any men’s soccer player in history with his 46th, after Inter Miami beat the Columbus Crew 3-2. Inter Miami won the Supporters Shield, an award given annually to the team with the best regular season record, after their dominant performance against Columbus. Columbus looked to have taken an early lead in the seventh minute of the match as Cucho Hernandez found himself inside the box with the ball, which he sent over the goal
