Also, they are know as 'super-aural headphones' or possibly 'earpad headphones', some have ear canal cups that literally rest within your ear while others have a larger cup prefer 'full size' earphones. The advantages on the on ear headphone are they've been comfortable, your ears are less that could overheating compared to with a full size set but some models can fold up for easy transport.
